Scott W. Klein has been chief executive officer for SuperMedia and a member of the SuperMedia Board of Directors since June 2008. Klein previously served as an operating partner of Symphony Technology Group, a private investment firm, since November 1, 2007. From January 2004 to October 2007, Klein served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Information Resources, Inc., a provider of information solutions for the consumer packaged goods, retail, and healthcare industries.
Prior to joining Information Resources, Klein served as President, Consumer Industries, Retail & Energy Global Industry Group of Electronic Data Systems Corporation from July 2001 to January 2004.
Klein also held management positions with PC Mall, Inc., PrimeSource Building Products, Inc., Guardian Purchasing Corp., PepsiCo, Inc., and The Procter & Gamble Company earlier in his career.
Samuel D. (Dee) Jones is executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer for SuperMedia. As the primary liaison with the investment community, Jones is responsible for investor relations programs; for strategic communications with shareholders, both institutional and individual; for leading the mergers and acquisitions team in financially beneficial transactions; and for managing the company's external communications function.
Prior to his current assignment, Jones was executive director - financial reporting and analysis and mergers and acquisitions for Verizon Information Services (VIS). Jones has also served as executive director - sales support for VIS' International operations.
Jones began his career as manager - cost accounting for GTE Southwest. He advanced through positions of increasing responsibility including, manager - regulatory accounting for GTE Central and director - general accounting and financial reporting for GTE Directories. He holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in accounting from Angelo State University.
Dave Bethea is responsible for ensuring that SuperMedia provides local businesses in the western United States with effective local search, Yellow Pages and direct mail advertising, tailored to their specific needs. He oversees sales, marketing, finance and human resources for these markets.
Prior to his appointment at SuperMedia, Bethea served as regional vice president of Operations for PrimeSource Building Products Inc., the nation's largest independent distributor of building products with annual revenues of $1.3 billion. Before that, Bethea served as vice president of national accounts for PrimeSource Building Products Inc. and had a six-year track record managing national sales force servicing regional and national customers.
Bethea holds a business management degree from California State University Fullerton and has done graduate work in finance at The University of Texas at Dallas.
Frank Gatto is executive vice president — operations responsible for SuperMedia's operations functions, including billing and collections; customer care; information technology for print products; Headquarters marketing and strategic planning; sales operations; production and publishing; printing; and directory distribution. He also served as acting Chief Executive Officer for SuperMedia from February through June 2008.
Before his operations position, Gatto served as president for the northeastern United States for SuperMedia and for Verizon Information Services (VIS). Before that, he was VIS senior vice president for operations support. Previously, he was vice president - finance and chief financial officer for the Puerto Rico Telephone Company, where he had served from September 1999 to September 2001. Gatto began his company career in 1978 and advanced through several positions including assistant vice president - investment and strategic planning for GTE Service Corp., vice president - finance and planning for GTE Airfone and director - budgets and plans for GTE Wireless.
Gatto earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Villanova University and a master's of business administration degree in finance from Boston College.
Mike Pawlowski is responsible for ensuring that SuperMedia provides local businesses in the eastern United States with effective local search, Yellow Pages and direct mail advertising, tailored to their specific needs. He oversees sales, marketing, finance and human resources for these markets.
Prior to assuming this position, Pawlowski was senior vice president and chief marketing officer for SuperMedia, with responsibility for marketing, information technology, production and publishing, printing and distribution. Before that, he was vice president - marketing and strategic planning for Verizon Information Services and vice president - marketing and customer relations for Verizon International Operations.
Pawlowski began his career in 1985 at GTE as a sales account executive for GTE Northwest and advanced through positions of increasing responsibility, including vice president and general manager — branch operations for GTE North, as director — strategic marketing and planning for GTE Wireless, and as vice president — international sales and marketing while also serving as chairman for Verizon's data global synchronization initiative.
Georgia Scaife is responsible for SuperMedia's human resources and employee administration services, including associate relations, compensation and benefits, payroll administration, training and development, staffing, diversity, business compliance and employee communications.
Previously, Scaife was vice president - human resources for Verizon Information Services. Before that, she served as vice president - staffing services for talent acquisition and staffing operations for Verizon and as vice president - human resources for Puerto Rico Telephone Co. She has experience in various human resources fields, including labor and employee relations, compensation, benefits, strategy and planning, recruitment and staffing, succession planning, leadership development and Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action.
She serves as president of the board of directors of the Dallas Black Dance Theatre.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from the University of California.
Cody Wilbanks serves as SuperMedia's chief legal officer, with responsibility for legal, compliance and security functions.
Prior to his appointment, Wilbanks was vice president, associate general counsel - Commercial Operations for SuperMedia.
From 1987 through 2006, Wilbanks was employed by Verizon Communications Inc. and its predecessor GTE Incorporated, in the legal departments of various business units, including GTE Southwest Inc., GTE Telephone Operations World Headquarters, GTE Airfone Inc. and GTE's competitive local exchange telecommunications subsidiary GTE Communications Corp. Wilbanks successfully served in a number of increasingly responsible positions across a broad range of legal disciplines, including vice president - general counsel of Airfone. He began his assignment at Verizon Information Services, in 2000. He remained in SuperMedia's legal department following its spin-off from Verizon in 2006.
Wilbanks earned a bachelors degree in history from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1975, and in 1981 he graduated with high honors from SMU's Dedman School of Law, earning a juris doctor degree. Wilbanks began his legal career in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps as a Regular Army Captain, where he served as a criminal prosecutor. After his military service, he was an associate attorney with the law firm of Vinson & Elkins in Austin, Texas, from 1984 to 1987, practicing in tax-exempt finance and regulatory law.
Since 1997, Wilbanks has continuously held the highest peer review ratings awarded in the legal profession -- Martindale-Hubbell's AV® rating -- for very high to pre-eminent legal ability and ethical standards. He has been active in coaching youth sports and in community service, having recently served four years (two as president) on the board of directors for Captain Hope's Kids Inc., a non-profit corporation that provides clothing and other critical needs to homeless infants and children in the North Texas area.
