Five steps to transfer your domain
Select Yes when prompted with, “Would you like to transfer your domain for us to manage?” Then, complete the sign up process.
- Unlock your domain
Contact the current Administrative Contact for your domain name and ask him/her to unlock your domain name, and generate a Transfer Authorization Code (EPP Key)*. This is required to transfer your domain successfully.
- Call URL / Domain-Based Email Support
Contact our URL / Domain-Based Email Support group toll-free at 1-866-748-6621 (Monday - Friday, 8am - 5:30pm Central time) and provide them with your domain name and Transfer Authorization Code (EPP Key).
- Approve the transfer
An automated email will be sent to the Administrative Contact email address on file for your domain name*. Please review the Registration Agreement by clicking a link within the email, and approve the transfer.
- Transfer complete
Once the domain is within SuperMedia control we can update your domain to point to your web site.
Domain transfers are usually completed within five days after approval by the administrative contact, unless the current registrar of record denies the request. Once a transfer takes place, you will not be able to transfer it again for 60 days, apart from a transfer back to the original registrar.
